TMI Dynamatics’ highly advanced real-time simulation and control solutions are built to reduce product development cost and time throughout the aeronautical/ mechanical design and systems integration process.

Within the aerospace and defence industries TMI Dynamatics is the strategic partner of choice for turn-key prototyping, aerodynamic and performance analysis as well as the development of aeronautical concepts into marketable products.

Vehicle Design:
From the preliminary design phase TMI has the skills and tools to perform aerodynamic, mechanical and systems engineering simulations to quantity the performance, behaviour and reliability of the ground or air vehicle being developed. We have the ability to use a combination of computational fluid dynamics, windtunnel testing and other empirical methods to compute data and thereafter use computer aided engineering analysis during the design process and the vehicle development life cycle to retrieve optimised and reliable operational characteristics.

Loads Analysis:
During the preliminary design and detail design our highly trained engineers use empirical methods, windtunnel data and computational fluid dynamics results to determine the aerodynamic, inertial and systems loads being applied to the vehicle structure. These gross loads are transformed to structural joints and members to determine the stress levels in these components to ensure they are adequately strengthened during the design process.

Stores Separation and Jettison:
As a niche service TMI has the tools and skills available to model and simulate multiple bodies influencing each other during motion. The body’s motion is calculated by using six degrees of equations of motion that accurately couple the forces and moments acting on the body. During the external stores integration process TMI models and simulates the trajectory of external stores (ie. fuel tanks, weapon systems, chaff/flare) being released under normal release operations or jettisoned under emergency situations.

Stress and fatigue analysis:
As part of our holistic aeronautical design offering TMI Dynamatics has the resources and capability to perform static and dynamic stress analysis. Depending on the nature of the loads being applied to the structure a thorough investigation into the stresses within structural members are performed. TMI has the skills, technologies and tools inhouse to perform a fatigue analysis on components and subsystem assemblies of an aircraft or ground vehicle.

Test and verification:
TMI has the expertises and tools to support ground and flight testing during the product development process. TMI has been involved in supporting systems tests on the ground and carriage and release flight tests by monitoring in realtime the dynamic loads being applied to the primary vehicle structure during the tests.
